Space Calling Love

I have begun doing a new mind-exercise, meditation, prayer, whatever one might call those things that take us away from negativity (or should at least), and hopefully, put our metaphoric emotional- spiritual-thinking feet pointing in a more positive direction. I’d like to say this idea of mine came to me in some great revelation or dream or from some ancient spiritual guru or holy book. But to be frank, one day, about two weeks ago, I just found myself “doing” it, “thinking” it, “sensing” it.

But to begin at the beginning, means to start with how much negative thought and bad emotional baggage I seem to hang on to, be randomly attacked by, or in fact, how much “Ick” I daily seem to want to keep struggling around with inside my psyche. As much as I hate being negative, and as much as I believe we are called to higher thought, higher purposes, and a life of joy and positive energy, I spend so much time holding onto the bad stuff. I keep emotional and thought negativity cuddled close, and pet it like an ugly, angry, claws out and scratching, struggling cat — a cat that isn’t even mine, but that I foolishly said I’d watch for friend that left town without a forwarding address.
