This is beautiful and real and thank you so much for writing it. It made me think of something I read by Thich Nhat Hanh when he talked about the "brother" before him that his mother had miscarried and perhaps when he was later born, he was that brother -- interbeing. But your story resonated with me because it breaks my heart to see the abuse of power and truth masquerading as love for the unborn and all of the the red herrings and false ethics and easy love of fetuses with no love of human beings, that so many in our country call "religion" or "morality". Thank you for this well written and truthful and personal and factual and well -- everything in one -- story / essay / viewpoint/ encouragement/ look at a side of a debate that should be first and foremost in everyone's mind -- our children. Thank you.
